With less than a week until our official QTSD© INDIEGOGO campaign goes live, many people are talking about this exciting event! We have been getting quite a bit of interest from players, families, coaches, investors and more across the entire central Ohio area!
With all of this excitment building up, we wanted to take a moment to post a FAQ about our campaign, what crowdfunding is and why we are doing this. We hope that this post not only helps answer any questions you may have but more importantly helps explain our plans behind developing a NEW QTSD© Soccer Training Facility in the northeastern Columbus area! So let's get started:
WHAT IS "CROWDFUNDING" IN THE FIRST PLACE?
Crowdfunding is a method of raising capital through the collective effort of friends, family, customers, and individual investors. Usually, small companies and businesses will appeal to people who passionately believe in their skills, causes or abilities to perform and would like to see them continue to offer those services in a better way. We have some of the most passionate soccer athletes and families working with us and want to be able to offer them even better QTSD© Training options going forward!
WHY INDIEGOGO?
There are many different crowdfunding platforms out there (Kickstarter, Fundable, GoFundMe) and each has specific details that sets them apart from their competitors. We chose INDIEGOGO for one reason: their Goal Achievement Results. Many crowdfunding platforms require that if a goal is not reached, all of the funds raised are returned to the contributors and nothing is accomplished. That works well enough with physical products; if a product is not delivered then contributors should get their money back! But with improvement of services, that becomes tricky and, in our opinion, is unfair to supporters of the campaign. INDIEGOGO's policy is that any funds raised will stay with the business - as long as they deliver on their promised perks or "extras"!
WHAT IS THE PLAN?
Plan A is to raise enough financial capital to start planning a much needed NEW facility in the northeastern Columbus. We have been speaking with multiple construction companies, financial institutions and city officials over the past months to start gathering options. There are many different aspects that need to be considered including zoning, land lease vs purchase, sponsorships, investors and more!
WHAT ABOUT PLAN B?
While we are sure the upcoming campaign will be successful because of supporters like you, Plan B will be to secure an existing location and remodel it to serve as a soccer appropriate facility. We have been visiting multiple locations as well to start planning this options as well. No matter the result, QTSD© will be offering additional training space and times this upcoming fall; something that is much needed by central Ohio!
WHAT ARE "PERKS"?
Perks are the fun part about crowdfunding! We want to reqard your for your support and will have added bonuses for each level of contribution! We will have contribution levels available from $10 to $10,000 with some really cool packages in return (Bubble Soccer, Limited Edition T-Shirts, Custom Training Videos and more!). Each perk is a fun way for us to say "Thank You!" for your support of our goal! Some perks are limited in availability so be sure to contribute early! Those perks will be teased this week to get everyone excited for the campaign going live next week.
WHAT IF I WANT TO CONTRIBUTE MORE?
We are extremely passionate about our soccer training and likewise know that we have a lot of passionate athletes and families that believe in what we are trying to accomplish in Columbus. If you are interested in playing a larger part of the development of our facility, please contact us and we can discuss details!
WHEN WILL THE CAMPAIGN GO LIVE?
Our goal is a launch next week (February 8th thru 13th). We are finalizing our promotional video with our marketing agency and then will be launching everything. The campaign will run approx. 30 days and will be available 24/7 online. More details will be sent soon.
I DON'T LIVE IN COLUMBUS.... HOW CAN I SUPPORT?
We know that there are many passionate supporters of soccer across the globe. Whether you currently train with QTSD©, are just hearing about us or live across the nation, we have contribution options & perks for everyone. We will glady ship any items that supporters order outside of Columbus!
